GENERAL: Aasimars are humans with a significant amount of celestial or other good outsider blood in their ancestry. Aasimar heritage can hide for generations, only to appear suddenly in the child of two apparently human parents. Most societies interpret aasimar births as good omens.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Aasimars look mostly human except for some minor physical trait that reveals their unusual heritage. Typical distinguishing aasimar features are hair that shines like metal; unusual eye or skin color; or even glowing golden halos.
RELIGION: Aasimars are not always good, but it is a natural tendency for them, and they gravitate to good faiths or organizations associated with celestials.
Darkvision: Aasimar can see up to 60’ in the dark.
Keen Senses: +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.
Celestial Judgement: +2 racial bonus on Diplomacy checks.
Resistance: acid, cold, electricity resistance 5.
Languages: Aasimars begin play speaking Common and Celestial. Aasimars with high Intelligence scores can choose any of the following bonus languages: Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Halfling, and Sylvan. As with all races of the island, aasimar may devote two (2) language slots to study a language not listed here.
SNOGARD ISLAND AASIMAR: Any aasimar birth on the island is a completely random occurance, as is their birth anywhere in the world. The magic that surrounds the island has removed their innate spell ability, however, any recent aasimar births carry the same possibility for other innate abilities just the same as any other race on the island.
